“Every nation has the government it deserves,” wrote the philosopher Joseph de Maistre, and some are doing it right and wrong right now. De Maistre's moral interpretation of politics admits of exceptions, but America in 2023 is not one of them. A destructive tide of rudeness and corruption is rotting the cultural and constitutional docks that, since the Civil War, have kept the US above the waters of chaos.

The US regime has become a tasteless theatrics in which political actors, hypokritaien Greek, play common characters in a disgusting farce. The zombification of the Capitol, not to mention the streets of our city, which have become permanent encampments for the dazed and disturbed, is simply a symptom of the underlying disease. Like all institutions, politics falls apart without regular infusions of constructive energy. A modern democracy is healthy only if its major parties grow organically from its voters, representing their interests out of habit and inclination even more than by conscious effort.

The French writer Sylvain Timsit published a decalogue of the strategies that are most frequently used by the media and by political elites to manipulate the masses.

1. Encourage distraction by promoting information overload, or when such information contains a strong emotional charge such as reporting tragic events

2. Create the problems and also the solutions with the intention of causing a specific reaction, so that this public demands measures and decision-making that solve the situation such as the loss of freedoms.

3. Appeal to graduality by applying changes that are important gradually, so that public and political reactions are equally gradual and easier to contain.

4. Infantilize the interlocutor by positioning the public as a group of naive people or incapable of taking responsibility for themselves

5. Make people think that this measure is painful but necessary, and that it is necessary to agree on it in the present, although its effects will be perceived years later.

6. Position the public as a group of naive people or incapable of taking responsibility for themselves, or of making critical and responsible decisions. The public actually identifies with that position and ends up accepting the measures imposed and even supporting them with conviction.

7. Appeal more to emotions than to reflection

8. Promote complacency in mediocrity to reinforce the feeling of success and satisfaction with the situation in which we find ourselves, even if it is a precarious or unfair situation.

9. Reinforce self-blame. It is being used for the unvaccinated.

10. Know people better than they know themselves. It is the basis of artificial and emotional intelligence.

Yes, Randall, the human mind in all its dimensions must be the base that rules against a totalitarianism that wants to rule humanity. People must make critical and responsible decisions and not as a group of naive people or incapable of taking responsibility for a reality of loss of freedoms and rights.

We must access the conscious plane to manage the truth that the news sometimes hides.

The global elite and their corporate allies spread censorship and misinformation and increase people's insecurity at all perils, to feed the thirst for profit, they have bought up doctors, academics, magazines, professional and patient organizations, university departments, journalists , regulators and politicians. These are the methods of the mafia.

It will be the sense of conscious responsibility that drives life in freedom. Life humiliated by any imposition and mandates. Faced with an experience of vertiginous transformations between responsibility and submission, they invite us to conscience. We cannot bear the humiliation of totalitarianism, but we are suffering a gradual loss of political sovereignty and freedom. Extreme awareness means asking ourselves about the responsibility and desire for dominance that is in every ambition for power.

The path must be CRITICAL THINKING against corrupt powers. It is up to us that the stimuli, information manipulators, that aim to lead people into false beliefs and direct them down the path of false promises and the loss of true health, are filtered through critical thinking that promotes encounter with the truth, self-esteem, true personal integration, far from the manipulation subjected to the mass man.

Good article! Congratulations! A nice gentle warning.

The good touches are that in the end, you advice that "revolt" at any turn is NOT the wise answer. There's too much of that sentiment out there, which, though the cowboys aren't exciting a riot, the overexcited conservative bulls ARE speaking of revolt at every turn.

So I like that you advise to spare the cortisol, and just realize that all information these days should be taken with a careful grain of salt. When you say "Acting on false premises can be deadly" I agree, and advise that it should be especially applied to advice from the reactionary Right, who, in an attempt to sell advice, are taking mild worry and trying to reverse it to panic extremes. So your advice to "guard against ALL informational input" is sound. Personally, I make myself limit how much political input I am exposed to, in order to spare my immune system. When I see yet another article on a nearly frazzled subject, I just pass it up, as there will be dozens more. CBDC and AI are 2 of these I currently ignore 95% of the time. And of course "yet more proof that Covid was a planned conspiracy".

An interesting, very calm discussion on "hysteria" through the ages takes place here, if you are interested in input from like minds:

They seem to come to some of the same conclusions that you did, but have additional data and points of view.

Keep writing. I appreciate your ideas!
